Right whale:

Date/time (local)OccurrenceLatitudeLongitudeNotes
09/23/15 14:58:31Possibly detected43.1286-65.0700There are 4 upcalls in this record, 2 are classified as right, one as call type 18. The first in panel 1 is great. The second call in panel 1 is not convincing because it has a very square-angled shape, it is not a nice smooth curve. The third upcall is quite steep and not classified as a right whale. However, I have seen this year some long and steep upcalls within periods of right whale calling that were classified as right whale. The fourth upcall is a decent shape and amplitude but not classified. I think this period is enough for a possibly but I have doubts about the third call. Many minke pulse trains.
09/23/15 15:58:31Possibly detected43.1299-65.0839Two classified upcalls in this period, both are decent, isolated, loud, ok shape.

Date/time (local)LatitudeLongitudeNotes
09/23/15 03:13:3143.1395-65.1227Set of 4 FW calls with 10sec IPI in P3-P4
09/23/15 04:58:3143.1423-65.1251Check spectrogram. It looks like there are upcalls in P5, P6 and P16, but they are short and unclassified. Need to take a closer look.
09/23/15 05:28:3143.1394-65.1214Sequence of 3 FW calls in P7
09/23/15 05:58:3143.1447-65.1227More of those long LF tonals in P5.
09/23/15 06:58:3143.1446-65.1172More long LF tonals in P5, P6
09/23/15 07:13:3143.1430-65.1155Another sequence of ~6 long LF tonal sounds. This is a really nice example. Check spectrogram.
09/23/15 09:13:3143.1388-65.0962Sequence of 4 long LF tonals in P3. Nice example. Check spectrogram.
09/23/15 09:58:3143.1383-65.0827Another sequence of long tonals sounds in P5
09/23/15 10:58:3143.1343-65.0738Classified upcall is occurring with other rudder-type sounds, is faint and not convincing.
09/23/15 11:58:3143.1344-65.0663Another good example of the sequence of long low tonal sounds in P7-P8.
09/23/15 12:58:3143.1297-65.0628Looks like a couple of minke pulse trains in P3, P7
09/23/15 13:58:3143.1318-65.0674Minke pulse trains in P4, P8, P9? Sequence of 3 long LF tonals in P7.

09/23/15 17:58:3143.1270-65.0902Long low tonal seuqence in 5 - P6. Some high frequency short sweeps in P5, P11-13, could it be the elusive humpbacks?
09/23/15 18:58:3143.1264-65.0889Several loud LF singlet downsweeps in this record, none classified though. Another sequence of long, low tonals in P2-3. A possible minke pulse train in P7 and P13. What are the HF sounds in P6? Check spectrogram.
09/23/15 19:58:3143.1263-65.0822Beautiful example of a sequence of long, loud LF tonals in P9-10.
09/23/15 21:13:3143.1238-65.0734Long, low LF sequence in P3.
09/23/15 21:58:3143.1191-65.0680Sequence of HF blips in P11, 12, and HF downsweeps in P15.
09/23/15 22:12:2443.1191-65.0680some loud long 200-400 Hz tonals in P9
09/23/15 22:58:3143.1211-65.0442Classified upcall is not isolated, not very shapely.
09/23/15 23:58:3143.1155-65.0362minke pulse trains?
